I created this site to inform others about the signs of autism, to understand how to interact with those who have autism, to learn the process of getting a diagnosis, and to demonstrate how life with autism can look.
This is Jack. Oh how we love him! Jack was diagnosed at age 4 with ‘mild to moderate autism’. And now he’s 8. We’ve been through so many of the ups, downs, backwards and forwards that autism brings.
This autism blog is where we share our story, with these purposes in mind:
1) To educate the parent, friend or loved one of a child with autism, especially those just starting on this path!
2) To raise awareness and share interaction strategies with everyone
3) To show you how darn lovable and capable our guy is!
Join us as we help our Jack to “Go!” We want to cheer you on as you help others to “Go!” too!!

Read all the details and my 'mom feelings' as Jack went through his autism assessment. It's a grueling experience for all involved, but I promise it will bring about answers and a path for your family!
Looking for a toy to engage a person with autism? Jack is a whiz at Bop It and it just might have something to do with eye contact!
We've now determined our son Jack needs an assessment for autism. Here are the next autism diagnosis steps we took, including the first suggestion of what was wrong.
