WHO IS JACK?

Jack at 4 1/2
Jack is the 4th of our 5 kids. As his mother, I started to notice something was off when he was about 3. I sat on those thoughts until I had him evaluated at 3 ½. He was diagnosed with mild to moderate autism just short of his 4th birthday. He is verbal, has a cheerful disposition and tends to withdraw in challenging situations, rather than act out in distress. Jack is in 1st grade at an autistic charter school & receives additional occupational and speech therapy, and previously received behavioral therapy. He is progressing very well as our family and helpers figure him out, cheering for him,”Go, Jack. Go!”
